This week was Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day. Many people had the day off of school and/or work. Many supporters and leaders promoted this as a Day On, not a Day Off and promoted a Day of Service. Our family took part of a Service Day at our church last Sunday. There were many projects to choose from and many charities were represented from The Humane Society to Shelters, to Community Service Organizations, to Soup Kitchens, etc. We all volunteered for a local charity--The Ronald McDonald House. We decorated care bags first with inspirational words and then filled these bags with some personal care items for families who need them while they are caring for loved ones in the hospital.
Here is the first layout to show you what we did to make a difference.
